This week, SAFE had the honour to attend the 14th CBRN Protection Symposium to present project VERTIgO to an expert audience of high-level international CBRN stakeholders.
The CBRNe Protection Symposium is a major international event, held every three years, that gathers experts and professionals in the CBRN field. This year’s Symposium, held in Malmö, took place on 20 – 22 September.
The Symposium is a high-profile event in the CBRN domain, gathering more than 700 CBRN experts from 30+ countries and providing opportunities to start meaningful conversations on CBRN and discuss the most recent research advancements in the field. The Symposium is also the ideal environment for displaying innovative products, technologies and facilities, and therefore was the perfect context for presenting VERTIgO’s current advancements.
Project VERTIgO was presented by SAFE’s Senior Associate Federico Benolli, during the session on Operational Training & Case Studies. The presentation focused on “Challenges and opportunities in Virtual Reality training for CBRN events” and also featured an overview of the new training & testing area Calvarina (managed by SAFE), where several CBRN training virtualization activities and demos will take place.
