On 21 May 2024 we wrapped up the VERTIgO project with our final event in Rome, hosted by the Istituto Affari Internazionali.
The event represented an opportunity to reflect on the journey that brought us to the finishing line, as well as look at the future ahead. Attended by over 50 distinguished guests from industry, academia as well as various branches of the Italian Ministry of Defense, including the Deputy Secretary General of Defence, it marked not just the culmination of our project but a concrete steppingstone towards fostering uptake of a highly innovative system for CBRN training that puts the end user at its core.
Throughout its 30 months of implementation, the VERTIgO project has not only achieved its goals but has set new benchmarks for virtual enhanced reality training for CBRN military and civilian operators. We are grateful to all participants, partners, and supporters who have journeyed with us, contributing to the project’s successes and innovations, and look forward to continue furthering advancements in CBRN training with new initiatives.
